“ Still a hit! The food is still amazing and fresh. Service. They will cook to order. Still a wait unless you called in. I think they may need to remodeled, but places like this are the best food joints. Better than Harbor Point. Yes I said it! ”
“ One of the best spots for fresh fried jumbo shrimp. Every time I come to Chicago I stop here for a pound of jumbo shrimp with mild sauce on the side and some perch fish. ”
“ I was passing by on my way to Indiana and I saw Shrimp Xpress and decided to stop by. The fried shrimp came in a paper bag with a tray and they were fresh, hot and delicious! They came with a nice tangy sauce, and I ordered a drink. My shrimp were great the texture was nice and they were not fried too hard and it had a nice batter. What you see photos of is one pound of delicious shrimp. It is an outdated drive thru, and you are ready to quickly pull out once you get your order. The staff was nice and friendly and my order was prepared in a reasonable amount of time. The reason for my 3 stars is because of the time it took them to acknowledge me when I arrived to the speaker. The reason for my rating of the atmosphere was just the layout of the drive thru. “ Never have had a bad food experience here , now there may be a wait sometimes but it's one of best shrimp/fish places I frequent. Breading on the items are just right and love the hot cocktail sauce they offer. ”
“ When I tell you their shrimp is top notch!! I mean top notch. Made to order always hot and crispy. I used to reside in Calumet City which is how I found them years ago. Now I reside in Park Forest which is a 30 minute commute one way without traffic. Now the place does need a lot of improvement visually you would think "I wouldn't dare eat here". However, they survived the pandemic and it's all due to their delicious food so forget the esthetics as long as you keep the quality of food we have come to love. ”
